Is There a Limit to File Size, And Will the Process Slow My System Down?
Is There a Bandwidth Limit? There’s no set limit per se, as we have tested files over 40 GB and didn’t encounter a single hiccup. While using the web interface, large data might be broken into chunks, uploaded, reassembled, and then sent to our data store in the background. This process might take some time, but you'll be notified of the status with little handy flags, or just ignore it and let it work its magic.
For BlompLive and BlompGo, as well as certain third-party tools, files need to be divided into bits no larger than 5GB. This breaking up is undertaken by our clients and requires no manual intervention on your part.
BlompGo has a cache for its uploading. This means that on your C: drive, you need to have a bit more space available than the total of the files you are uploading. So, if you have a HUGE file, you'll need all of that space free at the time you start. BlompGo will release that space after it's done uploading. If you need to free space on your system by using BlompGo, you may want to move some smaller files first to make enough extra room.
If you aren't using our tools and have trouble at 5GB, this is most likely the reason - the tool doesn't support multi-part uploads.
Why is Blomp so Freakishly Fast?Storing, sharing, and downloading limits are defined by the plan you opt for. For storage, the bandwidth is usually unlimited, but with sharing and downloading, the consistent bandwidth will be the same as the space allowed by your preferred plan.
In the event of frequent and unusual bandwidth consumption, we might ask you to upgrade the plan to meet your normal usage. Click this link to check out your upgrade options.
We didn’t mean to scare you with our super-fast upload, download, and operational speeds. It’s just how Blomp is: efficient.
Unlike the oldies, our space doesn’t slow down speeds to favor the paid and more upgraded versions. Our free service is as good as any of our paid ones and we would love for you to have the latter on your terms, not because we turned the free version unusable.
Become limitless and try every software that you want with Blomp.
